SAFETY (BECAUSE IT'S ALWAYS FIRST)
Instructors at the BOARDING SCHOOL stress water safety and knowledge, without taking away the fun that surfing is all about. We teach proper etiquette in and out of the water, so that when each student is ready, he or she will feel comfortable surfing in a group of strangers or with a couple of friends.
All of our instuctors have been surfing for at least ten years, and either live or have been coming to the Delaware shore most of their lives. That means you've got 30 years of local knowledge and experience working in the water. All of the instructors are CPR and First Aid certified. The BOARDING SCHOOL is also fully insured.

WHAT WE DO
We want to stress that the BOARDING SCHOOL caters to all ages. Young kids, teenagers, and adults can all learn to have fun in the waves. Our instructors have been teaching all kinds of people how to ride the waves since the summer of 2000. When we meet each morning, we start with the basics and work our way up. Once the students have a grasp of the fundamentals, we will leave the beach and head into the water. There, we take it as fast or slow as each student wants -- the great thing about the Delaware shore is that often the waves are the perfect size for learning how to surf: big enough to ride but not so large they're intimidating. All equipment is provided by the school, so just bring your bathing suit and a towel!
